Happy holidays everyone! December is such a hectic and stressful month, but these new pictures of Lotus Maria make us so happy. We got resubmitted into Family Court today, so hopefully we will get a more agreeable social worker and things will move smoothly in the new year. We could really use some smooth sailing next year. 2005 has been a real struggle to get through and am looking forward to 2006. We are heading up to Portland Christmas Day to spend time with my dad, sister and of course Kaiya. We intend to go visit Lotus Maria around January 20th and also do a bit of traveling in Guatemala. I can hardly wait, but I know the time will fly by.

We had a set back with the adoption last week and it looks like it will be an additional month before we can go get Lotus Maria and bring her home. It was disappointing and frustrating, but we knew that there could be delays going into this. Since we can barely contain our excitement to see her at this point we decided to go visit her the end of January. So be on the look out for a many, many photos come the New year.
