Recently we have gotten to spend time with other Guatemalan Adopt families. Last week a friend came over with her son, Roman, who is 10 months old and came home a few months before Lotus Maria. What a world we live in that two kids from the same far away land, but from different places in that distant land can be in their new homes for just a few months and playing in my living room.
We also went to a picnic in a Foster City park with about a dozen other families whose children are from Guatemala. The kids were all older than Lotus Maria, but they were all so adorable and their families so beautiful. We hope to continue to connect with other adoptive families as Lotus Maria gets older.
