Life with Lotus Maria and Lucian Stone

We are finishing up our holiday in Portland and had a wonderful time. It was a week of firsts for Lucian, first flight, first swim in a pool, first Thanksgiving, first time meeting his cousins Katya, Justin and Roma. Overall I think he had a splendid time. He is the only boy in a sea of girls in my family so it was pretty funny to think how he is going to be running with a pack of little ladies soon enough.

Lotus is an expert at all this now and also had a great time. She is really into the idea of sleepovers and was super excited to have Kaiya spend one night with us and then she spent one night at my sister's with Kaiya and Mila. It was an adventure to have three kids in our hotel room, but they all did fine. As always Lotus had the hardest time going to sleep so we know at slumber parties in the future she will always be the one up the latest.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at the Edgefield again which is our new family tradition. And once again it was great, easy and festive. It's such a cool property and Nate and I decided we will be staying there next year.

We fly home tonight and even though I love my family and had the best time I am looking forward to being home. It's a challenge having everyone in the same room and having a little space with be great.
